The score blends each company's own rating with the dataset average of 4.7★ using a 10-review prior, so a rating only approaches its raw star value once real review volume backs it up. That is one of three pillars in a score out of 100: reviews and reputation are worth 45, credentials the company states on its own website 30, and web presence 25. Inside that last pillar we award +10 for a website our crawler loaded successfully, +3 for three or more real project photos, +2 for a listed phone number and +2 for posted hours. For example, a 5.0-star pro with 4 reviews and no website ranks below a 4.8-star pro with 300 reviews, a live site and photos, because both volume and verification favour the second. No company can buy a higher position, and the method is identical for all 2,288 listings.
